Charity Distribution During COVID-19 Epidamic

“True charity requires courage; Let us overcome the fear of getting our hands dirty so as to help those in need”. (Pope Francis) The whole world is suffering from COVID-19 or epidemic Corona Virus. In this situation poor and needy are neglected due to lock down. They have no work and no way to earn money. While following the tradition of the Dominican Order very Rev. Fr. Younas Shahzad OP (Prior Vice Provincial) and Rev. Fr. Patrick Peter OP arranged charity for more than fifty families who are really in need of food. Rev. Fr. Patrick Peter OP bought all the Grocery and Students brothers prepared food bags for fifty families. Sr. Shaneela Rfique OP (Principle of St. Dominic School Asif Town, Lahore) requested very Rev. Fr. Younas Shahzad OP to distribute charity among the poor and needy families of Asif Town, Lahore. The charity distribution was started with prayer and Rev. Fr. Younas Shahzad OP pray for the suffering world and all those who died due to COVID-19. On April 06, 2020 very Rev. Fr. Younas Shahzad OP (Prior vice Provincial), Rev. Fr. Patrick Peter OP, Rev. Fr. Nasir Emmanuel OP, Bro. Perkash Dominic OP and Sr. Shaneela with her community members distributed charity among the poor and needy families. The people were over whelmed and excited after receiving this small token of love. At the end, very Rev. Fr. Younas Shahzad OP (Prior vice Provincial) thanked and appreciated Rev. Fr. Patrick Peter OP, Sr. Shaneela OP and Student Brothers for their collaboration and support.
